What is Soulfood?

What is SoulFood?

Soulfood is about sharing knowledge on being a student of life. Learning is essential to our existence. Just like food nourishes our bodies, information and continued learning nourish our minds.

One of the most effective ways of dealing with change is lifelong learning. It opens our minds and changes our attitude by building on what we already know.

The more we learn, the better we’ll get at seeing more sides of the same situation to help us understand more deeply. Learning new things gives us a feeling of accomplishment which, in turn, boosts our confidence in our capabilities.

Silent Whispers.

  • We’ll also feel more ready to take on challenges and explore new business ventures. It is that raw material of our craft that creates the rain that grows our flowers.
  • It is our unique voice of truth that comes from within. It is that wise part of us that can float high above the details of the moment, our emotions, and that of others to get an eagle-eye, more objective perspective of a situation.
  • And when we listen to it, we turn inward to hear what our body and soul have to say before looking to the world outside of ourselves for direction.
  • It is our internal search for deep meaning and moral contentment. We dive into the deepest corners of our conscience and work to understand ourselves at a profound level.

Quiet Time.

  • It is about spending some time alone observing ourselves and reading our book, the story we are living. Only when we do that can we bring our creative vision to life.
  • We can dream about things we want as if they are already in our hands. Our struggles are not a lifestyle, but a moment in time that we can overcome. It is our search to discover and understand what we were born to do.
  • The more we understand about our self, the happier and more peaceful we become. We create ideas through paying attention, experience and being taught.
  • The best idea in the world is not what’s outside, it’s what is inside us, which is the only journey worth discovering. Our soul always knows what to do to heal itself, but our challenge is to silence our minds.
  • We live in a world where everything is carefully thought out and crafted together, from the billboards we see to the advertisements on our social media feeds.
  • Our sanity needs to remember that these things did not happen by accident or overnight. It can be a breeding ground for comparison, fear, and doubt. Thoughts like “Am I enough?” cloud our judgment and cause inactivity.

Attitude.

  • As children, we were told to dream, but as adults, many of us have lost that skill. As kids, we built castles in our minds without worrying about the how’s and What-ifs, but as adults, we worry so much about the resources that we never bothered to inquire about the castle.
  • It is only when we build the castle in our mind that we can build them in real life. Soulfood is a muscle we build as a daily habit. Every single morning, when we feel like lying in bed for a little longer, we get up.
  • Every action we take, every decision we make is a bet for or against ourselves. And only when we’ve built this muscle, this tool, this secret weapon, can we build a life of meaning and fulfilment.
  • Not everyone will understand the pain behind our smile, the love behind our anger, and the reason behind our silence. But our patience when we have nothing and our attitude when we have everything will define us.
  • Nothing will betray us more than letting other people’s thoughts, demands, needs, and authority override us.
  • Our character consists of all the qualities we have that make us unique. It is the backbone of our personality which attracts others to us.
  • Our behaviour is often consistent with our values, and the way we act has meaning based on what we believe about ourselves and others.

Belief.

  • Soulfood is expressing the feelings of our true selves to create inspiration, creativity, and intuition. We gain insight into what makes us both happy and unhappy to restore our ability to transform our life into one that is more vibrant and fulfilling.
  • We become what we hear, read, speak or write because our brain uses repetition to learn, search for patterns and consistency as a way of making sense of the world around us.
  • It is a subtle feeling, a quiet knowing, and gentle guidance. It will not override our choices; we must choose it. It’s easy to brush over an aha moment, a wave of goosebumps, or a weirdly specific dream, but the more we learn to pay attention in those instances, the better we’ll become at discerning and understanding ourselves.
  • It is the light that guides us through our darkness. It is like Wi-Fi that has the power to connect us to the information we need. It sets us free from the limitations of what our eyes can see and allows us to enter the liberty of what our hearts can feel.
  • It is like a beautiful flower that we are not allowed to touch, but whose fragrance makes the garden a place of delight. Our face is the mirror of our mind, and our eyes without speaking confess the secrets of our heart. Beauty is truth’s smile when she beholds her face in a mirror.

Living a life that inspires us every day is only possible when we have an unyielding reason. It allows us to live with courage, take risks, and show up even on our worst days. It allows us to do interesting, meaningful, remarkable work, and display it to the world.

  1. I do agree with all the ideas you’ve presented in your post. They are really convincing and will certainly work. Still, the posts are too short for newbies. Could you please extend them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.
